12–13 December • National Hockey Centre, Lyneham, Canberra
History gets made this December. For the very first time, the best floorball talent from across the country converges on Canberra for the inaugural 3v3 National Floorball Championships — two days of fast, end-to-end, edge-of-your-seat action that will crown Australia’s first-ever national 3v3 champions.
This is floorball stripped back to its most electric form. Smaller courts. Bigger moments. Constant motion. With 3v3 rules, there’s nowhere to hide and no time to rest — every touch matters, every transition is a chance to score, and the pace never lets up.
What’s at stake
32 teams. 4 divisions. One historic title in each.
The players go head-to-head across four divisions — Men’s National, Women’s National, Men’s Social, and Women’s Social — with eight teams battling it out in every division. The National divisions bring together state-selected players eligible to represent Australia, while the Social divisions pit club-based sides against the country’s best. Whichever division you’re chasing, the road to a national title runs through Canberra.
The format
The action is relentless from the first whistle.
National divisions: a full round robin — seven games each — before the top four clash in semifinals (1v4 and 2v3), with the winners meeting in a grand final.
Social divisions: two draws of four teams play three games apiece, the top two from each draw advance to crossover semifinals, and the victors go all the way to the final.
Games: Is played over two 10-minute periods across three courts, so there’s always a match worth watching.
Teams: Maxiumum of 10 registered players per team.
Guidelines and Regulations: Full tournament guidelines and regulations can be found here.
